10 Years of Mobtown
10 years ago a group of trusty volunteers wiped the dust off of our newly built floor and opened the doors to the Mobtown Ballroom for the first time. We spent our last dollar to bring out Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, and they damn near burned the place down. It was the right start to the right venue.
We're bringing back this incredible New Orleans band to celebrate 10 years of jubilation, madness, joy, suffering, and community for two nights, October 22nd and 23rd, 2021.
Saturday during the day from 3-6, we will have a Mobtown picnic with lawn games and shenanigans at the Wyman Park Dell in Charles Village. Both Friday and Saturday nights will feature performances, but the core of this event is two nights of dancing with an incredible band.
The event will be vaccine mandatory, and we will follow city guidelines with regard to masks (this is most likely). $100.
We are keeping the capacity lower than usual for this event (150) to make sure there is room to dance. A small number of individual night passes are now available, but your best bet is to sign up for the whole weekend.
NB: While this is the kind of event where we will all strive to look good, Saturday night will be the official swanky night. Dress to impress.
