Stranger in the Alps is a music project based in Washington. Washington City Paper has called Stranger in the Alps the city's "Best Folk Troubador," although there are six people in the band. Very kind regardless. Stranger in the Alps sounds kind of like Iron and Wine, but with a shorter beard. They've called "young-but-weary," but they promise they're fun. Their new album, The Days Are Over Sooner, will be out
The BALTIMORE SUN has called Caleb Stine the “lynchpin of the Baltimore folk scene.” Flying just below mainstream radar, Stine keeps the music honest– hardworking, genuine, and unafraid to tell it like it is.To date, Stine has released over ten albums, scored music for films, acted Off-Broadway, and played guitar with Vieux Farka Toure.
