We teach private lessons in Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, and the circus arts (including lyra, fabrics, cyr wheel, hula hoop, and trapeze). All of our instructors are world-class dancers, competitors, and performers.
This class will launch you into the disturbingly awesome world of Lindy Hop. We cover all the basic moves and concepts that build up to the fancier aspects of the dance.
If you've taken at least one round of the beginner class, you're qualified to move up. This class is going to employ some extreme connection techniques to give you access to moves you never thought possible. You better eat your Wheaties.
We're going to push you in this class, and ask that you be ready to practice outside of the hour-per-week. The goal is not only to learn choreography, but to engage with some tricky but social-danceable material. It will be awesome.
Killer Abs for Circus and Everyday!
Mixed Level Lyra Thursdays 11-12pm
Get in circus shape, stat!
This is an introduction class to dynamic movement. We will learn about the technique of beats on silks in a safe environment. We will then apply these dynamics to some of the skills we already know to make them even more flashy! Must have taken beginner level silks.
Get stretchy and strong!
Get upside down and stay upside down – the goal of this class is to teach you
what a “balanced” handstand really feels like!
During this 5 class session we will review the anatomy of a handstand, some of the
best conditioning exercises to boost your strength, and multiple progressions to
help you move from supported to unsupported training at home!
For those with some prior experience, we will offer the chance to try some more
advanced handstand variations on our set of circus chairs and hand-balancers.
