Blu & Exile: Time Heals Everything
Blu is a standout figure of Los Angeles emcees, renowned for his commanding presence and captivating music that resonates across various demographics. His delivery is smooth, and his lyrical content vividly reflects both the joys and struggles of working-class youth.
Exile, known for his work with Aloe Blacc in Emanon, is a versatile producer, DJ, and occasional emcee whose "laid-back soulful vibes" draw inspiration from producers like J Dilla and Madlib.
Their first collaborative effort, "Below the Heavens" in 2007 was a significant moment for LA hip hop, echoing the legacy of groups like Freestyle Fellowship, Jurassic 5, and The Pharcyde. The album garnered critical acclaim and is celebrated as one of the year's standout releases. Blu’s momentum earned him a place in the XXL Freshman Class alongside Wale, Kid Cudi, B.o.B, and Charles Hamilton — proof that the underground could crown its own stars. But they never stopped building.
Blu & Exile are back with their new album "Time Heals Everything," which features high-level Emceeing and production. They will be returning to Baltimore from their previous festival "Above the Clouds" back in 2024. This time we will have support from Quelle Chris, Ill Conscious, DJ-Sun, Ullnevano, B33 and RÆDA. 11-1pm “Out and Ins: Fundamentals, Flow, and Fun” Dig deep into the Bal-Swing basic, the Out and In. Learn tips for making it comfortable and efficient while introducing variety and musicality through partnered and individual travel, styling, and rhythm choices. LEVEL: Beginner plus. This is for anyone who is familiar with out and ins. The class will drill technique and add fun styling and variations.
2:30-4:30pm "Playing with Timing and Rhythm in Bal Swing" Explore both partnered and individual timing changes in your Bal Swing to make your dancing more rhythmically dynamic. LEVEL: Intermediate balboa dancers and up

Come join us at the Mobtown Ballroom & Cafe for a night of mischief and magic. Embrace your dark side and dance the night away with fellow fae creatures, critters and more. We will have new and old attractions and features to excite and delight!
This promises to be an enchanting evening filled with live performances, drinks, dancing, and delightful company. Fae aerialists and dancers will hypnotize you as you explore our mystical ballroom and stumble on totally not rigged games of chance. Ambient aerialists will dangle from the ceiling to welcome you to our Fae enchanted grotto for the evening.
With over a DOZEN amazing artists performing Drag, Burlesque, Aerial Acrobats and Gogo Dancers the show will go all night long! But that's not all, we will have interactive attractions like a Maypole dance for the crowd to help perform, and gogo stages so you can get a chance to dance in the spotlight!!
We will have delectable edible treats, fanciful cocktails and we will have a photobooth to capture your beautiful selves, costumes and creations galore!! And it wouldn't be a Bad Fae Ball if there wasn't a Spanking Booth and Gambling to be had! Watch or join in on the mischief, but come as yourself and revel with the Fae for a night and a day!

Keenan McKenzie Live for Friday Night Swing & Lindy Hop
An incredibly special edition of our Friday night dance! We’re joining forces with the fine people of Philadelphia for “Jazz Town,” a full weekend of live music featuring, on Friday night, the incredible Keenan McKenzie and the Riffers. This is not a band we normally get in the area, so it’s not something you’ll want to miss.
As usual, doors are at 7 for food and drink, we have a drop-in beginner lesson at 8 (no partner or experience required), and the band kicks off at 9. There will be a strictly Lindy contest for the true fanatics. Whether you’re an old hand or brand new, this Friday will be something extraordinary.

Monday Night Swing & Lindy Hop
This is the dance from which much of the Baltimore Lindy Hop scene was built before the Ballroom even existed, and it’s still one of our favorite nights of the week. Where Fridays are crazy and often packed, Mondays are more intimate and welcoming. Some of our best dancers prefer a little extra space and room for conversation.
The kitchen and bar open at 7 for those of you who’d like to snag something to eat and drink. From 8-9, we have a drop-in beginner lesson (no partner or experience required) and from 9-late we dance.
